What do you mean by a recipient?

Preferred Postal charges by how many mail recipients you have in your subsciption. Each person (or entity) that you choose to have us forward mail for is a recipient.

We will only process mail for registered recipeints so it is important to make sure you add your reciopients to your account correctly. Preferred Postal automatically make the user/owner of the account a recipient. You may edit this to change to someone else or, perhaps, your company.

If we receive mail for any addressee that is not a registered recipient, we will return the mail to the sender.

Generally yes. While some financial and government institutions will not accept mailboxes of any type, online business listings, including Google, will accept your Preferred Postal address.

What is the USPS 1583 form and what is its purpose?

The United States Postal Service (USPS) regulates commercial mail receiving agencies (CMRA). Preferred Postal and its partners are required by the USPS to follow its rules and regulations. The USPS requires each mail customer to complete form 1583, which authorizes the CMRA to receive their mail. Without this form, we are required to return your mail to the sender.
